February 2024 – All Eyes On Saudi

Office Interior Design Project of the Year

We are proud to announce that in February, INC KSA was awarded the ‘Highly Commended’ accolade at this year’s Commercial Interior Design Awards 2024: Saudi. This recognition is a testament to the team’s outstanding work on the AviLease Riyadh office. The space stands out as a trailblazing project, by redefining workspace dynamics through its creative vision, thoughtful spatial planning, and commitment to innovation.

The trophy will sit proudly alongside the 2023 Design Middle East Award for Fit-Out Project of the Year, which recognized INC KSA for its successful delivery of “VOV Gaming” Riyadh.

As the Gold sponsor for the Commercial Interior Design Awards 2024: Saudi, INC KSA had the privilege of participating in the flow of the event throughout the evening. This included INC KSA’s Managing Director, Ciaran Crowley opening the ceremony with his well-thought-out speech that involved the Irish-born Ciaran citing Arabic! He expressed INC KSA’s appreciation of the Kingdom and acknowledged its unparalleled ambition. The vision and determination of KSA resonate deeply with INC, and we consider ourselves fortunate to play a part in its remarkable journey of growth and development.

The second opportunity to take to the stage involved four members of INC KSA presenting the following award categories:

Nouf Alqahtani – INC KSA Marketing Assistant – Unsung Hero of the Year
Nermeen Zeineddine – INC KSA Design Manager – Young Interior Designer
Andrew Mulligan – INC KSA General Manager – Saudi Designer of the Year
Ciaran Crowley – INC KSA Managing Director – Interior Design Firm of the Year

A hearty congratulations to all the winners of the evening.

As Gold sponsors for the awards ceremony, we were also featured in an online article on Commercial Interior Design where we shared insight into what can be expected from INC KSA in the coming year. The full article can be read here: In conversation with INC KSA.

Recent Project Completions

Saudi Arabia remains committed to its decision mandating foreign companies to establish their regional headquarters within the Kingdom, effective from January 1st, 2024. INC KSA, a specialist in delivering commercial projects, is already seeing a surge in repeat business from clients that they have worked with in neighboring countries like the UAE. Additionally, they are attracting new conglomerates eager to expand their presence into the Kingdom.

Pictured below is the Consulum Riyadh office, exemplifying a recurring client of  INC KSA who opted to open their regional headquarters in Riyadh. Other recent project completions also encompass IHG, Shareek, Blackrock, BCG, Ministry of Sport, Genesys, PWC, AviLease, Takeda, Coen & Partners, Korn Ferry, CBRE, Boston Scientific, Mott Macdonald, Amazon and Fortinet.

Fortinet and AviLease have both been shortlisted at the upcoming Design Middle East Awards KSA 2024, taking place on the 4th March.

Partnering with Esteemed Educational Institutions

The emergence of young talent in the design field is truly exciting. As part of INC KSA’s commitment to the long-term growth and development of the Kingdom, we actively contribute to Saudi Arabia’s drive to empower its citizens and establish international standards of education for the next generation of students. INC KSA works in partnership with the esteemed Prince Sultan University, the Art Centre Riyadh, and Al Taif University. Through this initiative,  INC KSA and these establishments have joined forces to provide a platform for the nation’s NextGen to fully unleash their creative talent through a coop internship programme. The aim is to foster the development of the next generation of design and build talent.

The credit for our past success is undoubtedly attributed to our exceptional team. As highlighted in our January blog, Ciaran Crowley and Andrew Mulligan have earned well-deserved promotions. Subsequently, Nermeen and Nouf have also been appointed to new positions, as a testament to their dedication to the company. Both Nermeen and Nouf serve as incredible ambassadors for INC KSA.

Prospects

Currently, INC KSA is engaged in talks with the Furniture Reception Project, a government initiative under the Irqa Charitable Association. The discussion revolves around INC KSA’s intention to contribute used furniture, including items no longer in use and decommissioned furniture from previous projects. The aim is to support those less fortunate who can benefit from these donations.

In addition to Interior Design, Design Management, Fit Out, Project Management and IT Solutions, INC KSA is expanding into Furniture Supply. INC KSA has delivered and installed its own manufactured furniture on several projects in KSA throughout 2023.  We currently operate two manufacturing bases in Asia and Europe. With increasing demand from clients and consultants, we believe many more projects will soon require INC furniture solutions.

Lastly, INC KSA is introducing the White Helmet, a digital software developed in KSA, which will offer our clients the ability to monitor the progress of a project remotely and on a weekly basis. The integration of 360 image recording will replace our current Matterport scanning used for project reporting purposes. Project snagging can be captured on the imaging or through the software app giving exact location, photograph, and a ticketing system logging for tracking of any defects raised.
